There has been for a considerable period of time a disagreement among the tenants on this estate concerning rights of commonage. Since last October a surveyor has been more or less continuously engaged on endeavouring to effect a settlement, and to allow the final survey to be made. There are approximately 700 tenants concerned, and the commonages are exceptionally large in area.
