Vol. 33 No. 16

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Allotments on Donegal Estate.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether he can state how many farms or allotments the Irish Land Commission intend making on the Stewart-Bam Estate, Ards, County Donegal; when is it proposed to make the allotments, and whether preference will be given to those applicants who, in the past, derived their livelihood as labourers on the estate.

A scheme for the division of 350 acres of the untenanted land acquired on this estate has been prepared and is at present under consideration. It is anticipated that the parcels will be allotted at an early date. Due consideration will be given on the division of the lands to the cases of labourers formerly employed on the estate.
