Vol. 34 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Ashgrove Estate, Tipperary.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether he will state why the proceedings for the acquisition of the lands of Terryglass, Ashgrove Estate, Co. Tipperary, in the occupation of Daniel Fogarty and Michael Tierney, have been discontinued.

The lands referred to are tenanted lands on the Talbot Estate in the occupation of Daniel Fogarty and Michael Tierney. The Land Commission decided not to resume these holdings, as in their opinion the lands were unsuitable for division, and in view of the excellent manner in which the tenants have utilised the holdings they decided to resell the lands in their entirety to the occupiers, in whom they have been vested.
