Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Government-Guaranteed Loans.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce to state the total amount of loans guaranteed by the Government since the Trades Loans (Guarantee) Act was passed in 1924; the total number of persons employed by the firms concerned when their application was sanctioned; and the number of persons employed by all the firms concerned on the 31st March, 1931.

The total amount of loans guaranteed under the Trade Loans (Guarantee) Acts 1924-1930 is £325,840. The total number of persons employed by the firms concerned at the date when their applications were sanctioned was approximately 110. The numbers employed on the 31st March, 1931, was 873.
