Vol. 40 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Claremorris Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he will state what are the intentions of the Land Commission regarding the lands known as the Cullaun Farm, Bekan, Claremorris district, County Mayo; if the Land Commission intend to take over these lands for the relief of congestion; and, if so, when, and at what date will the lands be available for this purpose.

The lands of Cuillaun containing 248a. 2r. 2p. have been gazetted with a view to their acquisition. An objection to the acquisition of these lands is at present pending for hearing before the Land Commission and until this objection has been disposed of the Land Commission will not be in a position to proceed further in the matter.
