Vol. 40 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of Mayo Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he will state if a scheme has been prepared by the Irish Land Commission for the division of the lands owned by Mr. Matthew Flynn, Lissadrone, Carrowmore Lacken, Ballina, Co. Mayo; and when it is proposed to put such scheme into operation.

A scheme for the division of lands of Lissadrone East and Lissadrone West on the Flynn Estate is in course of preparation, but until the scheme has been completed and approved the Land Commission will not be in a position to state when it can be put into operation.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he will state whether it is proposed by the Irish Land Commission to take over the lands known as Springhill Farm, owned by Mr. J.A. Massey, Carn, Killala, Co. Mayo, for distribution amongst uneconomic land holders in that locality.

The question of the acquisition by the Land Commission of the holding of Mr. G.A. Massey in Springhill on the Palmer Estate is under consideration.
