Vol. 40 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of Latten Lands, Tipperary.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if the lands of Latten East and Ballinadruckell, situated near Latten, County Tipperary (S.R.), in the occupation of Mr. Nicholas Green, comprising about 543 statute acres, have been retained by acquisition; if a price has been offered for same; and, if so, whether an objection has been lodged as to the price offered; and whether, in the hearing of the objection before the Judical Commissioner, the Land Commission inspectors who valued the land will be heard; and also, whether potential tenants will be entitled to be legally represented at the hearing.

Two holdings, in the townlands of Latten East and Ballynagleragh, in the occupation of Mr. Nicholas Green, comprising in all 543 statute acres, have been retained by the Land Commission, and notice of intention to apply to the Judical Commissioner for an order authorising the resumption of these holdings has been served on the tenant. The tenant has lodged an objection thereto and this will be heard by the Land Commission at an early date.
