Vol. 40 No. 19

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Domiciliary Visits by Gárda in Bangor Erris.

asked the Minister for Justice if he is aware that the Gárda Síochána from Bangor Erris visited the homes of a number of residents in Geesala and Frishia, Bangor Erris, Co. Mayo, on 29th October last and on other dates during that month, amongst those so visited being Pat Lyndsay, Geesala; Peter McDonagh, Geesala, and John Mullarkey, Frishia, and will the Minister state the reasons for this interference with these men and the nature of the statements taken from them by the Gárda.

I am making inquiries as to this matter and I suggest that the Deputy might repeat the question in a week's time.
