Vol. 41 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Land Commission Work.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he will state how soon the completion of unfinished drainage and road work under the Land Commission will be undertaken with a view to finding work for the unemployed.

The money entrusted to the Land Commission for expenditure on works for the relief of unemployment and distress has been entirely allocated and the various works are in progress. As regards the normal expenditure on improvement works in connection with lands acquired by the Land Commission, works proposed to be undertaken are put in hands as soon as possible after they are sanctioned.
