Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Improvement Works (Galway).

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he will state whether the Land Commission in dealing with the congested estate of J.A. Lewis, Co. Galway (Record No. S. 1990), propose to carry out any improvement works on the estate—such as drainage, road repairing, etc.—as was done by the late Congested Districts Board on the adjoining congested estates of Westmeath and Clanricarde, and, if not, if he will state the reason why.

In the division of the untenanted lands on the estate of J.A. Lewis, Co. Galway, the Land Commission have carried out certain improvement works incidental thereto in the matter of drainage, roads, fences and buildings.
