Vol. 42 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Non-Trade Union Labour in Tipperary.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he is aware that employment has been given to men in the Tipperary Town Creamery (formerly Cleeves) who are not members of a trades union and whether in view of the dissatisfaction caused as a result he will take steps to insure that for further appointments trade union labour only will be employed.

I understand that the Deputy refers to the creamery at Tipperary controlled by the Dairy Disposal Company. As the matter concerned is at present under consideration by that Company, I am of the opinion that public reference to it at the moment is not in the interests of either of the parties concerned.
