Vol. 43 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Application of Land Annuities to De-Rating.

(forMr. Wolfe) asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he is now in a position to state from what date the de-rating of agricultural land out of the retained land annuities will commence, in accordance with the declared policy and undertakings of the Government.

The Government has informed the British Government of its willingness to submit the question of the right to the Land Annuities and other payments to arbitration, provided that no restriction is placed on the choice of the personnel of the tribunal. It is not proposed to make any use of the Land Annuities while there appears to be a possibility that that offer may be accepted.
