Vol. 43 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral—Answers. - Kenmare Estate.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he will state when he intends taking over the 1,500 acres and upwards of the Kenmare estate, within and adjoining the township of Killarney, and allotting to the evicted tenant his portion of the estate, the balance thereof to the few remaining workmen and to the late workmen on the property, also, in accordance with the merits of each case, to those who have been grazing part of the property.

The Land Commission have already had enquiry made regarding the untenanted lands on the Kenmare estate at Killarney and decided to take no action in respect of them. The representations now made by the Deputy are, however, being noted for consideration.
