The transport problem is being thoroughly investigated with a view to submitting legislative proposals to the Oireachtas during the Autumn Session. I cannot, however, at this stage give an undertaking that legislation will be introduced immediately on reassembling after the Recess.
Will the Minister say if it will be introduced this year?
I hope so.
Will the remission in favour of road vehicles be held up until this legislation is produced?
I see no reason why it should.
Might I explain to the Minister the reason why it might?
