Vol. 45 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Sewerage Scheme for Carrigaline.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if any application has been received in his Department for a grant for a sewerage scheme for Carrigaline from the County Cork Board of Health, and, if not, whether he will communicate with the latter body for particulars of the plans of said sewerage scheme, which were drawn up by Richard Evans, C.E., for the old Kinsale Rural District Council, with a view that a grant be now made available for the carrying out of this very necessary work which, at the present time, would afford much needed employment.

No application for a grant for a sewerage scheme in Carrigaline has been received in my Department. I am prepared to give the matter full consideration if and when the local authority, acting on their own initiative, submit appropriate proposals including suitable plans of the work.
