Vol. 46 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Drainage of Bantogue and Crooked Rivers.

asked the Minister for Finance whether any provision has been made under the Minor Relief Schemes, 1932-33, for the drainage of the Bantogue and Crooked rivers in the County of Leix, and, if not, whether provision will be made for the drainage of those rivers during the year 1933.

The drainage of the Bantogue and Crooked rivers has not been included in the Schedule of Minor Relief Schemes to be carried out in Leix under the present unemployment grant. The amount of the grant allocated to Leix has been exhausted. The proposals for the drainage of these rivers will be considered in the event of any future grants under the Minor Relief Schemes being allocated to this county.
