Vol. 46 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Provision of Sports Fields.

Mr. Lynch

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether he will have included in any scheme of distribution of estates adjacent to towns and villages the provision of playing or sports fields.

The Land Commission consider carefully and sympathetically all representations made to them for the provision of playing or sports fields in connection with the division of untenanted lands and allotments for this purpose have already been made by them in cases where suitable land was available.

Mr. Lynch

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether he intends to have included in the scheme for the distribution of the Lansdowne Estate, Kenmare, County Kerry, the provision of a sports field for the benefit of the people of Kenmare.

The representations received by the Land Commission for the provision of a sports field will be carefully considered in connection with the scheme which is in course of being settled for the division of the lands acquired on the Lansdowne Estate.
