The total assessment for 1932-33 was originally £2,323,573, but this was subsequently reduced by the quarter of a million granted in pursuance of the Rates on Agricultural Land (Relief) Act, 1932.
Local authorities do not account separately for rates levied off agricultural land, but the following estimates have been made of the amount of the rates on land in the years mentioned.
