Vol. 46 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Broadford (Clare) Slate Quarry.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he has received a report from an Inspector of his Department regarding the slate quarry at Broadford, Co. Clare, and, if so, if he will state the nature of the report and whether it is intended to take any action as a result of the report.

The inspection referred to suggests that a further investigation to establish quantity and quality would be justified. This further investigation is primarily a matter for private enterprise and no direct Government action is contemplated as a result of the inspection.
