Vol. 48 No. 17

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Wicklow Live Stock Losses.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether, arising out of the deputation of County Wicklow farmers received by him regarding the losses in sheep and cattle sustained by them during the snow storm, he has had any communication from the Agricultural Credit Corporation regarding the proposal submitted by him as to the granting of loans at a low rate of interest to enable those affected to replace their stock.

I have been in communication with the Agricultural Credit Corporation in the matter, and have at present under consideration proposals for the granting of loans to Wicklow sheep breeders.
