Vol. 51 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Widows and Orphans' Pensions.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state when he intends to bring in the Bill to deal with the question of pensions for widows and orphans.

There will be no unavoidable delay. The examination of schemes involves actuarial and other financial considerations of much complexity.

Has the Minister yet arrived at any idea of what the cost would be of this scheme?

No. Until a definite scheme is put up there will be no definite idea of the cost.

The Minister has not a rough idea?

I have not.
