Vol. 51 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Public Works in Kildare.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether he has received any complaints regarding the delay on the part of the Kildare Board of Health in carrying out public health works and whether he proposes to hold an inquiry into the complaints made.

One such complaint has been received. It is not proposed to hold any public inquiry into the matter. Consideration of the schemes is being expedited and approval is being issued to three of the four works that have been under consideration by the board of health.

Could the Minister state the schemes to which approval has been given?

The schemes to which approval has been given are the waterworks scheme for Kilcullen, the waterworks scheme for Ballytore and the waterworks scheme for Clane. The fourth scheme is the Ballymore-Eustace sewerage scheme, which cannot yet be approved as the plans, etc., submitted therefor are inadequate.
