Vol. 51 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Rebuilding of School.

asked the Minister for Education whether it is a fact that in June last year the Kenmare Boys' School was vacated; that the school work was carried on in the local Carnegie Library; that the Library Committee are dissatisfied with the arrangement, which involves them in considerable financial loss, and whether it is proposed now to proceed with the rebuilding of the school in question.

The Kenmare Boy's National School has been conducted in the local Carnegie Library since July last and this arrangement is a matter between the manager of the school and the library authorities.

I am advised by the Board of Public Works that they have had the plans and specification for the reconstruction of this school prepared and that tenders are being invited by them for the execution of the work.
