I move:—
(1) That Section 20 of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 20 of 1932), shall, as on and from the 10th day of May, 1934, be amended by the substitution of the words "threepence and one halfpenny" for the word "seven-pence" in sub-section (3) of that section and that section shall be construed and have effect accordingly.
(2) It is hereby declared that it is expedient in the public interest that this Resolution shall have statutory effect under the Provisional Collection of Taxes Act, 1927 (No. 7 of 1927).
This is the Resolution which reduces the rebate of 7d. per lb. on imported tobacco to 3½d. per lb.
