Vol. 55 No. 16

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - School Inspectors' Pensions.

asked the Minister for Education if he is in a position to state when proposals for legislation will be introduced to provide that the period served as teachers in primary schools by certain inspectors of National Schools will be taken into account when determining the pensions payable on retirement to such inspectors.

I am not in a position to state definitely when the Superannuation Bill, at present in preparation, in which it is proposed to deal with the issue to which the Deputy refers, will be introduced. It is hoped, however, to introduce it this session.
