Vol. 56 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cottage Repairs in Laoighis-Offaly

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state the number of cottages recommended for repair by the engineers to the (1) Laoighis; (2) Offaly Boards of Health for the year ended 31st March, 1935; the numbers repaired; the amounts allocated for such work, and the amounts expended in both counties during the period mentioned.

The annual reports of the Registrar-General (Table 16 in 1933, Table 15 in 1932, Table 16 in 1931, 1930 and 1929) give total death rates and rates per 1,000 births represented by deaths of infants under one year in each province, county and county borough and Abstract VI in these reports shows by urban and rural areas in each county the total number of births and deaths and the number of deaths of infants under one. This information would probably be sufficient to meet the requirements of the Deputy.
