Vol. 58 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Trophies Won by Army Jumping Teams.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state the number of trophies won by the Army jumping teams held (a) permanently and (b) temporarily, by the Army; and whether he is aware that there is a desire on the part of the general public in Dublin to see these trophies; and if he will arrange to have an early display of them at some suitable centre in Dublin.

(a) The number of trophies held by the Army equitation team permanently is 14; (b) the number of trophies held by the Army equitation team temporarily is 19.

Arrangements are being made to display a selected number of the above trophies at the Royal Dublin Society's Show to be held next month, and following the Show further arrangements are being made to exhibit them in the Volunteer recruiting premises, O'Connell Street.

It is also hoped that future arrangements can be made to display these trophies permanently in some suitable place open to the public.
