Vol. 59 No. 16

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Saorstát Air Mail Service.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if mails will be carried on the air services which are to be established in the new year between Dublin and Liverpool and Dublin and Bristol and, if so, if he has decided whether any surcharge on the mails carried will be necessary to defray the cost.

The times of working of the contemplated air services have not yet been decided on and it is therefore not practicable to say at the present stage if they could usefully be availed of for the conveyance of mails. It may be taken, however, that if correspondence is despatched by them, the senders will be required to pay a special air fee.
