Vol. 60 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - West Cork Hospitals.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he has yet received the recommendations of the Hospitals Commission regarding the hospital requirements of West Cork and, if so, if he is in a position to state the amounts to be allocated to the different hospitals in the area.

The reply to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. As regards the second part of the question, it is not possible to say what amounts will be allocated to the different hospitals until the Minister has decided what works will proceed and until the cost of the works is ascertained.

Mr. Murphy

Can the Parliamentary Secretary give any indication as to the likelihood of the proposals being made available in a short time?

The report is at present under examination, and I should say that in a reasonably short time the Minister's decision will be available.
