Vol. 61 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Afforestation in Galway.

Mr. Brodrick

asked the Minister for Lands whether he is aware that about 400 acres of the Ffrench estate, Monivea, County Galway, is covered over with decayed wood which is of little value, and if he will cause inquiries to be made relative to the acquisition of such land for the purpose of afforestation.

The demesne lands to which the Deputy refers have not been offered for State forestry purposes. The representations made by the Deputy have been noted, and further inquiry will be made.
