Vol. 63 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Waterford Road.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware that the road in Dyrick near Lismore, County Waterford, has been in a very bad state of repair for a long time past, and that an inspector from the Office of Public Works was to have visited it over a year ago and that since then nothing has been done and if he will state when action is likely to be taken in the matter.

The road in question was duly inspected, but it was found that the advantages to be derived from its repair and reconstruction would not be commensurate with the expenditure required. Moreover, the unemployment position in the area did not warrant a grant under minor relief schemes.
