Vol. 63 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kelleher Estate (Cork).

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state (a) the area of the Kelleher Estate, Carrigmore, Ballineen, County Cork, which was recently acquired and divided by the Land Commission; (b) the number of applicants for parcels of land on this estate; (c) the number who received parcels of land; (d) the acreage allotted to each; (e) the name and occupation of the allottee in each case; and (f) if any of the applicants who were turned down were evicted tenants or the representatives of evicted tenants.

The area of the Kelleher Estate acquired by the Land Commission was 204a. tr. Op., and of this area 169 acres have been allotted amongst nine allottees. There were 67 applicants for parcels of land on the estate, and amongst those applicants for whom it was not possible to provide there was one who claimed to be an evicted tenant. The replies to (d) and (c) in the Deputy's question are in the form of a tabular statement which will be circulated in the Report of the Dáil Debates.
