Vol. 63 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Mislaid Insurance Cards.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health wheather he will state if a quantity of stamped insurance cards for the 1/34 period, which were temporarily mislaid several months ago by the management of the Unified Society, were recovered; and, if not, what steps have been taken to locate them; further, whether he will indicate the measures adopted to secure that full credit will be given to the members concerned for the contributions represented by the missing cards.

I am informed that the cards referred to have not yet been found. As stated in my reply to a previous question on the 24th June, the contributions on the cards have already been credited to the insured persons concerned.

Will the Minister deny the fact that the cards were burned?

They are lost, anyhow. What became of them, I cannot say.

If they are lost, it comes to much the same thing as if they were destroyed by fire.
