Vol. 63 No. 16

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Saorstát Representation on Empire Meat Board.

asked the Minister for External Affairs if it is a fact that the Irish Free State has a right to representation on the Empire Meat Board now being formed in connection with the safeguarding of the food supplies to Britain, and if it is the intention of the Executive Council to avail of that right of representation so as to secure for this country a permanent advantageous market for our agricultural products in Britain.

The Meat Council referred to in the Deputy's question has not yet been formed. When it is formed the Government of Saorstát Eireann will be represented on it.
