Vol. 63 No. 19

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Mountrath Sewerage Scheme.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state what is the cause of the delay in carrying out the sewerage scheme for the town of Mountrath, Co. Leix; if the scheme has been sanctioned by his Department, and, if so, if he can indicate when this very necessary work will be commenced.

As regards the first part of the question, I am not aware that there has been any unnecessary delay in regard to this work. As regards the latter part, approval has been given to the plans and the work will likely be commenced in the early autumn.

Is the Minister aware that no advertisement has been issued for tenders in this case?

I am not aware of it.
