Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Moneys Issued to Approved Societies.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state the total sums issued to Approved Societies to meet the cost of administration in each of the years ending on the first Monday in July, 1931, to 1936 inclusive.

Issues are made to societies under Section 54 (1) of the National Insurance Act, 1911, to cover their current requirements in respect of both benefits and administration, but the amounts issued are not separately earmarked for either of these purposes. The actual administration expenditure of societies in each of the following years was:—

The figures for years to 30th June, 1934, 1935 and 1936 include expenditure incurred in setting up Cumann an Árachais Náisiúnta ar Shláinte, the amounts for each year being as follows:—
