Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Payments in Respect of Child Welfare Schemes.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state the local authorities to which payments were made in the financial years 1934-35 and 1935-36 under the Notification of Births (Extension) Act, 1915, in respect of child welfare schemes and the amount of the payment in each case.

A tabular statement setting out the information required by the Deputy will be published in the Official Report.

Following is the statement:—

NOTE.—In addition to the payments made to local authorities there was paid from the National Maternity and Child Welfare Grant in 1934-35, £12,531 10s. 10d. to 108 Voluntary Agencies operating approved Maternity and Child Welfare Schemes and £13,451 11s. 5d. in 1935-36 to 113 Voluntary Agencies.
