Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cost of Milk Supply to Necessitous Children.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state the local authorities to which payments were made in the financial years 1934-35 and 1935-36 in respect of the supply of milk to necessitous children and the amount of the payment in each case.

A table will be published in the Official Report giving the particulars required by the Deputy.

Following is the table:—

Table showing Payments made from the National Free Milk Supply Grant to the various Sanitary Authorities during the years ended 31-3-'35 and 31-3-'36. These comprise in the first case a final instalment for the half-year ended 31-3-'34 and four advance instalments, one in respect of each quarter, for the year 1934-35, and in the second case a final instalment for the year ended 31-3-'35, and four advance instalments one in respect of each quarter for year 1935-36.

* This sum of £2,951 5s. 1d. comprises payments o £766, £1,072 and £702 made respectively to the Boards for the new County Health Districts of Cork North, Cork South and Cork West established by a dividing Order made by the Minister under the Local Government (Amendment) (No. 2) Act, 1934, and a balance payment of a sum of £411 5s. 1d. made as required by that Act to the County Council.
