Vol. 65 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Fees under Cement Act.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the total amount collected by way of fees in accordance with Section 36 of the Cement Act, 1933, during the year ended 31st March, 1935; 31st March, 1936, and the nine months ended 31st December, 1936; and if he will state in what manner the amount of moneys so collected are accounted for.

The amounts of the fees collected in the periods mentioned were, respectively, nil, £72,911 14s. 11d., and £74,353 18s. 8d.

These moneys were transferred to the Exchequer as Extra Receipts.

Would the Minister say under what heading—is it Customs or Excise?

Extra receipts.

Will the Minister say under what heading these items——

I have answered the question.

——will appear in the weekly statement of the revenue position?

I have not been asked that. I have been asked if I will state the total amount collected by way of fees in accordance with Section 36 of the Cement Act, 1933.

If the Minister does not know now I will ask him later.

Oh, answer the supplementary question and have done with it.

The teacher!
