asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the amounts paid by way of subsidy and export bounty in respect of each category of industrial products in respect of which such payments were made in each of the years ended 31st December, 1934, 1935, and 1936, and the total amount so paid each year.
The figures required by the Deputy have not hitherto been compiled by calendar years, and owing to the large number of heads on which bounty has been paid at some time or other during the period under review it would not have been possible to compile them by calendar years within the time allowed. The information is, however, already available for financial years, and I am having incorporated in the Official Report a table giving the information for each of the three financial years to the 31st March, 1936, and for the nine months from the 1st April, 1936, to the 31st December, 1936.
