Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Amendment of Widows' and Orphans' Pensions Act.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether in connection with the amendment of the Widows' and Orphans' Pensions Act he will extend the scope of the Act to provide pensions for persons in need who are permanent invalids, but are not entitled to benefit under the Health Insurance Acts.

No. It is not proposed to make provision for any persons other than widows and orphans in the Bill amending the Widows' and Orphans' Pensions Act.
