Vol. 65 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Particulars as to Dublin Teachers.

asked the Minister for Education whether he can state (1) the total number of teachers engaged in teaching children in the infants' and first standard in the schools of Dublin City and County, and (2) the number of these teachers who speak Irish with fluency and with good pronunciation and accent.

The figures under each head of the Deputy's question are:—

(1) 620

(2) 460

As the personnel of the school staffs varies considerably these figures are, of course, only approximate.
