Vol. 65 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Co. Galway Sheep.

asked the Minister for Justice whether he is aware that 61 sheep, the property of Mr. P. Fury, Currandulla, Galway, were stolen on the night of September 9th-10th, 1936, from lands within 200 yards of the local Gárda barracks; if he will state what steps have been taken by the Gárda to trace the sheep, and whether any of them have been traced, and, if so, how many, and what action has been taken.

I have received a police report as to the matter in question. The Gárdaí have made exhaustive investigations but so far without success.

Mr. Brodrick

Arising out of the Minister's reply, can he tell us, seeing that such a number of sheep have been stolen, what provision is going to be made to safeguard property in this country, and has he any information regarding further such happenings in Co. Galway?

That is another question. I have no information as to that.
