Vol. 65 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - New County Hospital at Kilkenny.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether the proposals submitted to his Department by the Kilkenny County Board of Health in December last for the erection of a new county hospital at Kilkenny have yet been considered; and, if so, if he will state when sanction for the proposals will be communicated to the board of health.

The proposals in relation to the county hospital are under consideration. I hope to be in a position to communicate decision at an early date.

I am informed that tenders have been with the Department since the 15th December last. The delay in giving sanction, therefore, seems unreasonably long.
