asked the Minister for Lands if he will state the number of estates divided in County Westmeath for each of the years 1922-23 to 1936-37, the number of allottees, and the number now on hands for division.

The reply is in the form of a tabular statement, which will be circulated in the Official Report.

The number of estates or portions of estates divided by the Land Commission, and the number of allottees provided for, in County Westmeath during each of the years 1922-23 to 1935-36 are as follows:—

The completed returns for the year ended 31st March, 1937, have not yet been made up, but the figures may be estimated at 46 estates or portions of estates divided in the year, providing for 384 allottees, and leaving 19 estates or portions of estates on hands for division at that date.
