Vol. 530 No. 4

Written Answers. - Hospital Services.

Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

147 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Health and Children the plans he has for the provision of a district hospital for old people on the grounds of the General Hospital, Tralee, County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4266/01]

The provision of health services in County Kerry is a matter for the Southern Health Board. The board has informed me that it has prioritised the provision of a community nursing unit to be built on the grounds of Tralee General Hospital as one of the projects it wishes to develop under the terms of the National Development Plan 2001-2006.
