Vol. 69 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Manufacture of Motor Car Tyres.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is satisfied that the undertakings given by the concessionaire for the manufacture of motor car tyres are being carried out in respect of length of service.

When due allowance is made for the difficulties which must inevitably be encountered in connection with the establishment of a new industry of this magnitude, I am satisfied that on the whole the firm which is engaged in the manufacture of motor car tyres in the Saorstát is carrying out its undertakings in respect of the quality of these tyres. I am, however, keeping the matter under revision.
