Vol. 69 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Temporary Clerks in Employment Exchanges.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether the consultations with the Minister for Finance which were in progress in November, 1935, relative to the holding of a qualifying examination for temporary clerks at employment exchanges with a view to their appointment to permanent positions have yet concluded, and if he is now in a position to state when it is proposed to hold the examination in question.

The consideration of the question of affording to the temporary clerks at employment exchanges an opportunity of competing for permanent posts as employment clerks has not yet been completed. It is, however, hoped to make an early announcement in connection with the matter.
