Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Death Rate of Children.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state in respect of each of the last ten years what has been the death rate of children under one year of age per 1,000 births in (a) the whole State, (b) in the four cities, (c) in the towns with a population of 7,000 and over, (d) in the towns with a population less than 7,000, and (e) in the rural areas.

The information required by the Deputy is not available in a form distinguishing towns of over and under 7,000. A statement giving the information so far as it is available in the Reports of the Registrar-General has been prepared and will be published in the Official Report.
