The figures for the volume of imports corrected for seasonality, for each month of 1931, are published in a table on page xlix of Trade and Shipping Statistics, 1930 (P. No. 590). The average monthly volumes of imports (being the quantities of imports valued at 1930 prices) in the years 1929, 1930 and 1931 were, respectively, £4,674,000 £4,731,000 and £4,948,000.
